HAMMER COMPACT II (RHC II) RESPONSIVE KEYBOARD WITH HAMMER MECHANISM
The new Responsive Hammer Compact II (RHC II) keyboard was developed to authentically reproduce the delicate, natural touch of a grand piano. The keyboard is graded weighted (like an acoustic piano, the keys are slightly harder to hit in the bass range than in the treble range) and the key surface of all 88 keys is slightly matted, which allows for better playing control. As with other Kawai digital piano keyboard mechanics, the Responsive Hammer Compact II keyboard is also equipped with hammer speed detection using the triple sensor system, in which the velocity is determined by the movement of the hammers, giving the pianist a very natural playing feel.
The RHC II keyboard mechanism enables even experienced pianists to express their emotional playing ... from soft pianissimo to powerful fortissimo.
IMPRESSIVE RECORDINGS OF THE SHIGERU KAWAI SK-EX AND KAWAI EX CONCERT GRAND PIANOS WITH PHI SOUND GENERATION AND 88-KEY SAMPLING
The ES520 reproduces the excellent sound of the Kawai SK-EX and EX concert grand pianos. All 88 keys of these two extraordinary grand piano models were painstakingly recorded and analyzed. The unique characteristics of each individual note and the large dynamic range of the sounds enable the pianist to express his emotional playing ... from soft pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. With the integrated Virtual Technician function, the sound character of these acoustic piano sounds can be changed very easily. For example, you can adjust the intensity of the string and damper resonance or the sound of the hammer falling back. Such a personal setting can then be provided with a reverb effect, which gives the sound additional spatial depth.
LARGE SELECTION OF ADDITIONAL SOUNDS
In addition to the realistic acoustic piano sounds, the ES520 has an extensive selection of sounds, such as e-piano, drawbar or church organ, strings or choir, which enable the musician to play a wide variety of genres in a variety of ways. The dual mode allows playing two different sounds (eg grand piano and strings) on the keyboard at the same time, while the split or four-hand mode allows the keyboard to be divided into a left and a right area. The respective volume ratio can be set quickly and easily at the push of a button.
BLUETOOTH AUDIO/MIDI
In addition to the USB-to-host connection and the MIDI connections, the ES520 is also equipped with Bluetooth MIDI technology, which enables wireless communication with smart devices (e.g. smartphone or tablet). This gives you the opportunity to conveniently use a large selection of music-related apps in connection with your ES520 digital piano.
Or simply use the Bluetooth audio interface. Simply connect your smartphone to the ES520 and enjoy all your music directly through the speaker system of the ES520. This is particularly recommended for play-along.
RHYTHMS
The Rhythm Section of the ES520 includes 100 different drum rhythms that you can combine with the keyboard sounds. Rhythms can also be saved as a registration along with the desired tempo and selected sound.
EXTENSIVE CONNECTION OPTIONS
The ES520 has a number of connection options, such as audio outputs (LINE OUT) for connecting to an amplifier for use in larger rooms (eg in churches or schools). Flexible connection to computers or other MIDI devices is possible with the MIDI IN/OUT and USB to Host connectors. Thanks to the stereo input (LINE IN), the audio output of a laptop or a tablet PC can be connected directly to the ES520 and played back via the built-in speakers.
