Rare Rönisch 3 Crown Concert Upright Piano, dating from approximately 1908 and presented in its beautiful original burled walnut cabinet.

At an imposing 141 cm high, this is a true concert-size upright from an era when the finest upright pianos were built on a particularly substantial scale. Its large soundboard area and long string length help produce a rich, powerful and resonant tone, with considerably greater depth than is normally associated with a smaller upright piano.

This Rönisch 3 Crown upright features a desirable 3 Crown designation, a full cast-iron frame and traditional underdamper action.

Importantly, the piano has previously undergone sympathetic refurbishment, including the fitting of new German-made ABEL hammers. ABEL is one of Germany's highly regarded manufacturers of premium piano hammers, and their installation helps retain the traditional European tonal character of this remarkable instrument.
